Recorder Input Options

The recorders manufactured by CoBex are capable of accepting the following types of inputs:

  RTD TEMPERATURE PROBE

The temperature probe used with the recorder utilizes a thin film  platinum RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) sensor housed in a stainless steel body. The RTD has a resistance of 100 OHMS (at 0ºC) and an alpha of 385 (or 0.00385 OHMS/OHM/ºC).

The stainless steel body of the probe has a diameter of 1/4 inch and is available in a 3 inch and a 6 inch probe body length. Minimum length of the probe's wire is 8 feet. Custom wire lengths for probes are also available.

Accuracy of the RTD sensor is +/- 0.12 OHMS @ 0ºC

  HUMIDITY SENSOR

A monolithic IC humidity sensor is used with the recorder to sense and record RH (Relative Humidity). The humidity sensor has a wide operating range of -40 to +85ºC (0-100% RH) and is usually paired with a RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) sensor in order to sense and record both Temperature and Humidity. These sensing elements are housed in a single ABS probe body. The probe body has a diameter of 1/2 inch and a length of 2.56 inches. Minimum length of the probe's wire is 8 feet. Custom wire lengths for probes are also available.

Accuracy of the humidity sensor is +/- 3% (0-100% RH).

  VOLTAGE INPUT

The recorder is capable of accepting input from a voltage source (such as a transducer). Standard input voltage values are as follows: 0 to 1 volt, 0 to 5 volts, 1 to 5 volts and 0 to 10 volts. The recorder can be programmed to have the lowest input value correspond to the center of the chart OR to the outer edge of the chart. The pen arm of the recorder tracks linearly between the minimum and maximum input voltage.

Accuracy is +/- 0.25% of Span.

 CURRENT INPUT

The recorder is capable of accepting input from a 4 to 20mA current source (such as a transducer). The recorder can be programmed to have the lowest input value (4mA) correspond to the center of the chart OR to the outer edge of the chart. The pen arm of the recorder tracks linearly between the minimum (4mA) and maximum (20mA) input current.

Accuracy is +/- 0.25% of Span.
